Participation: The Film & Video Workshop 1979 - 1991
Participation is an exhibition and archive project centred on the emergence of new film forms, politics and practices in the 1980s. Presented in two parts, the works react to and document the rise of Thatcherism and the social and cultural events the period from 1979 engendered: inner city disturbances, the miners strike, and increasing social disparity.

Inspirations: UK
Inspirations is a three year programme which considers the contributions individuals and their work have made toward contemporary artist's film and video. In its inaugural year VIVID has invited five UK based individuals who have played a major role in the critical, artistic and curatorial development of artists' film and video to select one moving image work that has made a significant impact on their own practice.

Katarina Zdjelar was in residence at VIVID October to November 2008. Zdjelar made new work as part of the European Media Artists in Residency Exchange programme and this new work was presented in VIVID's space 3 to 20 December.
